PM States that the Rumor of Paying Double Salaries to Govt. Officials is From Long Ago

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has said that there is a lot of talk on Facebook that the government will pay double salaries to government officials this April, but he confirmed that this story has been circulating online for a long time and there will not be any double salaries given this year.

The Prime Minister made this confirmation at the inauguration ceremony of the Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kosamak Hospital on Monday, 21 March 2022.

He said, "Facebook, since a few days ago, has been saying that the salaries of March plus April will be given together, and plus more, but this is not the case! This is information from a few years ago. But I do not know how [people on] Facebook brought this up again after a long time. It is confusing everyone."
